Update from Campaign Manager Rob Jesmer

We are off to a great start in the general election campaign.  In his capacity of being the leader of the statewide ticket, Senator Cornyn participated in a Victory  meeting in Austin last week and will be in Lubbock for another one soon.  There is a sense that the Republican ticket is all focused on the same objective, building a first rate grassroots organization to carry Republicans to victory from the White House to the Courthouse.

 

The senator is also proud of our online efforts.  Our website has gone through many changes and we are now growing our presence on Facebook, Myspace and even Twitter!  The blogosphere is also heating up and we appreciate all the Bloggers for Cornyn out there spreading the good word.  One issue I would like to raise is that there have been some posts related to Rep. Noriega's Hispanic heritage that do not reflect the campaign Sen. Cornyn is running.  Let's make certain we stick to real issues of concern to Texans, and avoid the divisiveness and polarization that our opponents want to exploit.
