Why not implement gas rationing like that in the 1970s?  That would help the supply/demand problem.  It's a short term solution while more valuable time and money consuming  long term options are explored.  I am telling you this is hurting the people, working people.  I take the train to work, come straight home from the station, minimize my necessary trips, don't take unnecessary trips and it seems like I've acquired an extra monthly bill.  And I know other people who have it worse, relatively speaking I guess.  They don't have the option of mass transit or carpooling.  This is ridiculous and highly suspicious.  Such an enormouse hike in prices in such a short time.  I try to make my little stand or protest by buying only 3 gallons at a time to try to at least affect the daily profits.  I don't know who or what I'm protesting.  I just know this is a terrible, unprecdented situation and I can't afford it!!  Let's do something quick, if short term, for the hard working class Americans and still look for more time-extensive longer term solutions.  The waiting is killing us.  Thank you for your consideration.
