Cornyn Cast #2 - Sen. Cornyn Speaks on EnergyComments

Where and how are you coming up with the stats of fuel price increases and job lose if the Boxer Bill were passed? Why in the last 10 years haven't you and your Republican cohorts been leading campaigns to conserve energy instead of blaming conservationists and the Dems for opposing developing more of the same wasteful energy sources and giving $70,000 tax breaks to buyers of Hummers and other gas-guzzling SUVs, etc.? Why have you put a tarrif on ethanol from Brazil and not on crude from Saudi Arabia? Why have you cut tax breaks and incentives for alternate energy companies (sending most off shore to Germany and France) while giving incentives (and corporate welfare) to oil companies which have been showing record profits but little else to justify the amount and types of tax breaks and insentives that former Republican led congress has given them...? Thank you, Sen. Cornyn, for helping defeat that Boxer bill. Heard on ABC Houston (Ch. 11) that Ethanol is gunking up engines. More reason to stop using it.
