As he was hauling in $400, Rick Noriega told his London supporters that Texas is "not quite meeting the mark."  At the same time Noriega was making his disparaging remark about Texas, the state was being named by CNBC as the #1 place to do business in America, producing half the jobs in the nation in the past year, and surpassing New York as the state with the most Fortune 500 company headquarters. Also of note, Texas has near-record low unemployment levels and economic growth rates much higher than the national average.
