Largest Independent Banking Association in the Nation Backs Cornyn for Supporting Texas Communities
AUSTIN, TX — Today, Texans for Senator John Cornyn announced the endorsement of the largest state community banking organization in the nation, the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), which represents more than 2,500 banks and branches in more than 700 Texas communities. IBAT was founded in 1974 and advocates for locally owned and operated banks that serve communities in Texas, particularly in rural and small markets.
